Use & Care
Know your tools.
Care for their resonance.
Simple, practical guidance for unweighted forks, weighted forks and gemstone boots. Choose your tool below, start gently and let each tone fade naturally.
01 / Unweighted tuning forks
Make space for the tone.
Explore these forks through comfortable, quiet listening.
-
Hold the handle
Use a relaxed grip on the handle below the fork's base. Keep fingers, clothing and hair clear of the tines.
-
Activate with a light tap
Gently tap the outside of one tine near its upper end with a rubber mallet. Alternatively, use a suitable soft activator resting securely on a table.
-
Listen, then pause
Hold the vibrating fork at a comfortable distance and allow the sound to fade. For a pair, activate each fork separately and keep them apart.
02 / Weighted tuning forks
Notice a gentle vibration.
Begin with light handle-tip contact on your open palm.
-
Check and hold
Check that both weights and any fitted boot are secure. Hold only the handle, keeping the tines and weights unobstructed.
-
Activate gently
Give the outside of one weight a light, controlled tap with a rubber mallet or on a suitable soft table-top activator. Keep any gemstone clear of the striking surface.
-
Try light contact
Rest the handle tip lightly on your palm while holding the fork upright and steady. Let the vibration fade, lift the fork and pause before repeating.
03 / Gemstone boots
Check the fit. Protect the stone.
A gemstone boot is an attachment for a compatible handle. Check your selected product's fit details before installation.
-
Fit while the fork is still
Support the metal collar and use the correct key to loosen its fastening screw just enough for fitting. Slide the compatible handle into the bore without force; do not push or twist by the gemstone.
-
Secure and check
Tighten the screw gently until the boot is secure. Do not overtighten. Check for slipping or wobbling before activating the fork. If the fit is loose or the handle does not slide in easily, stop and contact us.
-
Use a gentle contact
On a compatible weighted fork, activate the metal weight and rest the smooth gemstone face lightly on your palm. Keep contact comfortable and protect the stone from knocks.
04 / After your practice
Clean simply. Store thoughtfully.
Wipe
Use a soft, dry cloth on the metal and gemstone. Avoid abrasive pads, polishing compounds and harsh chemicals.
Keep dry
Do not soak the fork or boot. Keep moisture away from the mounting screw and dry fully before storing.
Separate
Use individual pouches or a padded space. Keep forks and gemstones from knocking together or rubbing against hard objects.
Inspect
Before the next use, check the tines, weights, collar, screw and stone. Pause use if anything is bent, cracked or loose.
A little guidance helps
Something feels different?
The sound fades very quickly
First check that your fingers, clothing or hair are not touching the tines. Use a light activation in a quiet space. If the sound has changed unexpectedly after a drop or impact, stop and send us a photograph.
The attachment slips or wobbles
Stop using it and check the listed bore size against your handle. Do not compensate for a poor fit by forcing the screw tighter. Send us the fork model and clear photos of the handle and attachment.
